New to the board here- I left the church last week and would like to share my exit story here before my details grow fuzzy. Who do I contact for that?

Thanks in advance,
Pamela

Welcome to the board Pamela, and congratulations on getting out after only 9 months. My grandparents got my family into the cult many years ago. You could have done much worse.

I used to believe that there was a divine element to my dreams. Now I know that there wasn't. Dreams represent subconscious thoughts and fears, and can sometimes provide useful insights, but they are not divine.

I have found that not paying too much attention to dreams helps me sleep better. During sleep your memory needs to rest. If you can recall a dream then it means your memory was active while asleep. I used to actively try to recall dreams which was encouraging my brain to not rest properly.

I enjoyed your exit story and wish you the best as you move forward.

While some may not believe that dreams are important, I have found that for some people, myself included, they can be an important part of our lives.

To each their own. Good luck.
