God is just testing the mormons with gay marrage

That is what mormons say and believe. I think they flunked the test. Thank you God.

200 years from now they might say: WE WERE WRONG. We apologize for what we put gays through and that we hindered their basic rights.

The Prophet's Message from 2018

We don't know why gay people were not accepted by members of the church in the past. It was never doctrinal, and church leaders fought hard for the rights of same sex attracted individuals.

Seriously, don, if our Christmas discussion on gay marriage at the family party had gotten that far, I was planning to respond to the claim "but the church says..." with "yeah, but they'll change their minds and in 10 years will say they fought for gay marriage and our grandchildren will say that the idea Mormons were ever against gay marriage is anti-Mormon lies."

Best not to hold your breath that they will ever APOLOGIZE. I'm convinced they are not familiar with that word.

But now changing docrtine into policy they have gotten down pat.
