Would be funny for 7 wives in bonnets to look out the back of the wagon...

But it's simple and great as is.

reminds of an earlier C.G. 'toon; married (straight) couple leaving temple in a car with cans, etc., sign on back of car: "Now it's O.K. to have SEX!"

With the title of your post I was expecting to see a slightly naughty treatment of the editorial.

Saw the cartoon this morning while reading the AZ Republic while riding a stationary bike. Nearly fell off laughing. Knew you had Utah in your pens sights. Nicely done.

Saw it last night. Excellent!

You know, it just peeves me that Utah OF ALL PLACES thinks they should be upset about who marries who. What short memories they have.

At this point I think they are tying to save face. They have been so ineffective and behind the curve on this issue. They need to prove to the sheep that the church leadership isn't completely impotent (probably not the best choice of word considering their looks :-)).

Utah is positioning itself for battles it doesn't really have to fight, with mormon/Republican legislators proposing bills that will prevent laws to force the LDS church to marry gay couples. Total waste of time, since the church already has the right to refuse to marry any couples it wishes to refuse.
