Why are you such a funny person?

Being funny is a choice, anyone who says Steve was born funny is under the influence of Satan.

You hit the nail of the head. I lost my 16 year old son to Juvenile Diabetes in 1999, and a sense of humor and laughter is my mantra in life.

Cry/depressed or laugh/attempt at healing. I choose laughter.

Dennis Moore, you are a loving mother with an odd screen name.

Aww shucks! Yes, I am a "she." Just thought it would contribute to the anonymity of me posting here.

I have another screen name on NOM, but don't go there too much anymore. RfM is the place to be, I'm past being a NOM.

I love Monty Python and love the Dennis Moore sketch, thus my screen name.

Everyone have a wonderful day. I better get off this computer and go to work!

Dennis

Steve is exceedingly serious and sober. I think you are misunderstanding.

But why can't you act like a clown every now & then?

I don't know Steve personally. But I think of Steve like I do Lucille Ball (no insult implied).

What I mean by that is that he puts all his humor into his political cartoons, and into his work.

He strikes me as a very serious and analytical person in general. People describe some comedians like that ... like Lucille Ball, Steve Martin, and Johnny Carson. They were excellent at physical comedy and masters of the one-liners, but not warm and fuzzy in person.

He doesn't seem to be the easy going, slapstick, laid back type of person.

I also think that he doesn't suffer fools very easily. I have been on his "foolish" list once or twice on RFM, lol. Perhaps we all have...

If I'm wrong, I apologize in advance.

Just my perception.
