So in the recent past, I've told my wife a lot I've read, and it's been handy to have been called as a Sunday School teacher because I can raise issues not with the church itself, but with the Old Testament, like how the garden of eden couldn't have been in Missouri, how the flood couldn't have happened, etc.
She'll get a craving for sushi on Sunday and I'll go pick some up for her.
We haven't paid tithing this year. I "accidentally" left the cash in my suit pocket the first time, just didn't pay it the second time. Times are tight because of Christmas spending and some unexpected things, but she's not raising a fuss.
The kids were laughing pretty loud in the other room while watching AFV, and I yelled in there "hey kids, refrain from loud laughter!" and she chuckled.
I can't say she'll jump ship when I tell her I'm mentally out, but I think it may not result in a meltdown.
