I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to continue trying to adapt the Old Testament primary lessons (senior primary) to be something I'm comfortable teaching. Because I no longer believe in the church, I don't feel comfortable teaching these lessons "verbatim." I seem to be having a difficult time finding ways to adapt them. Is it time to throw in the manual, "ask to be released," and just deal with sitting through the adult meetings? (Church-university endorsement requires that I be active and not under any formal nor informal church discipline.)

I would stay with the kids, turn it into something Mormon lite and just play games and eat cookies with them. My favorite mo memories are of being a primary teacher and just being real with the kids.
