Of course, for practicing and ex-Mormons, this is nothing new. However, Bill Maher and the Daily Kos have discovered a pamphlet written by Mark Peterson on the subject, and they are having a field day with it.

I guess that since Boyd K. "Little Factory" Packer was so successful in ending mastaurbation in Utah (sic), the church has decided to enlighten the rest of the world. Note to Mr. Peterson and Mr. Packer: Mastaurbation does not get girls pregnant and it does not spread sexual diseases. And, in spite of one of the rules laid down in the quoted pamphlet, mastaurbation is done alone, usually with nobody else watching.

Finally, I dedicate the following song (Ivor Biggun, 1978) to both Mr. Peterson and Mr. Packer and to the entire LDS church (it was a top 20 hit in the UK but did absolutely nothing in the U.S.)
