be interesting to see how they'll be resourced

no private scout camps

no corporate support

no endowment

will probably not have access to BLM, DoA or NPS federal lands given their position

I can't imagine they will be able to provide a youth program comparable to scouting...ever.

The Morg can't adopt Trail life in a heartbeat.

Trail Life USA requires that the chartering organization be a religious Trinitarian Christian organization (and specifically excludes the Morg) and that all adult leaders must be Trinitarian Christians.

My Troop (80+ years old) is self-sponsored and owns a lot of property. We are close to an educational execution. We have leaders who are Christian, LDS, Jewish, Theist, Hindu, and Buddhist.

To join Trail Life USA, we would have to switch to a Trinitarian Christian sponsor (giving up over $250,000 in real estate), and remove all of our LDS (Jack Mormon), Jewish, Theist, Hindu, and Buddhist leaders.

The article says there will be a new handshake, new oath and new salute...new uniforms are on order...

sounds a lot like making up a religion from scratch!
