I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting everbody yesterday. It's so nice to meet ex-mos in the flesh. That was my first meetup, and I really enjoyed sharing stories. The food was fabulous, too. Special thanks to elderstrangelove and slumberingminstrel for organizing it.

I second that greatness, the worst part of the lunch was having to leave!

First meetup for me too but I hope it's not the last, left the restaurant wearing a near perma smile inside and out. Was a great experience, thank you elderstrangelove and slumberingminstrel!!!

I'm starting to feel sorry for the church. If the people we met yesterday are an indication of who is leaving, that's quite a blow to the corporation! Haha.

FYI - Do you remember the Barnettes from Hky 1 ward? Jordan died in a motorcycle accident last night.

I did not know him but DW did. I will let her know(although now that I am riding again I may not want to)

We had a great time, too! I'm disappointed that the weather prevented some people from coming out, but I enjoyed chatting with everyone who came. :)

Actually, I'm glad y'all had such a great time. But bums me out even more that I drove all the way over and then had to miss it. I did, however, get some good shopping done on Saturday.

I'm glad I made the decision to go ahead and head back to Memphis in the morning, since the storm was coming in from the West. If I'd stayed for lunch and then headed out, I'd have been stuck on I-40 when it really started getting crazy. First ice storm of the year that was predicted and actually panned out. Wouldn't ya know it.

I will NOT miss it the next time.

I was concerned about the storm, also.

I would need warmer weather in order to make the trip viable.

Slumbering, other than to say that I live SE of Nashville, I would prefer not to give my actual location away, but I am looking forward to visiting with all of you another time.

Tickets for The Book of Mormon at the Orpheum in Memphis should be going on sale soon. We are going to try to get a group discount (need 10 or more people), and I have several friends who already want to be in on it.
