I'm looking for any doctrine or belief specific to Mormonism (e.g., not shared by other mainstream Christian faiths) that has not changed.

I was going to say the superiority complex, but that isn't unique.

Tithing has definitely changed. Early members paid of their surplus. I don't know who determined what was surplus, but it was decades later that tithing became 10% on your income.

In a cash society, wealth is Easy to count, AND Easy to disguise for evasion purposes.

societies dealing in commodities need all kinds of weights, measurements, grades-qualities to get by.

That Joseph Smith is the one true founder. They have been defending this since the beginning.

But, can't think of anything else.

So, with that in mind, Joseph was a con man. Therefore, TSCC is a con. The end.

Following on redpillswallowed:

Joseph Smith was the founder and first modern prophet.

The Book of Mormon was preserved for our day.

Homosexuality is an abomination in the sight of God.

Baptism by immersion.

Only men should hold the priesthood.

Families can be forever.

I'd be surprised to see if any of these had morphed or been abandoned briefly since they were introduced. Then again, ex-Mormon research has continually surprised me time and again.

Apart from the stuff about JS and the BoM, all of those are pretty common beliefs among Christians.

God made Adam and Eve clothes out of animal skins.

Joseph Smith read the actual words the prophet Abraham wrote.

The Book of Mormon is the word of god.

The 5 points of fellowship through the veil.

knock 3 times and god will answer.

Baptism for dead people.

A special witness to the name of jesus christ title.

Reverse revelation.

The local leader of the congregation where you live will judge you on if you can get into heaven even if you are not mormon. Not jesus, the local TSCC leader.

The First Law of Heaven: OBEDIENCE

Obedience to current church leaders. Never mind what the dead guys said. Never mind what we taught just a few years ago.

That's not unique. Its a trait they share with most cults.

Mormon scripture is unique to Mormonism (KJV excepted).

Joseph Smith as redeemer is unique to Mormonism.

Pre-existence (the Mormon version is unique)

Kolob, Shineha, Floese.

Reformed Egyptian

The peculiar blend of Freemason and Christian ritual practiced in the Mormon temples.

Since its invention, I think that Green Jello has remained strict mormon doctrine.

Read the fine print, we still believe this, and we have always denied it in the past when asked by gentiles, so nothing is different.

Polygamy HAS NOT changed! It has merely been postponed until after death.
