Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find any threads on the subject. I have also been out for a while. I resigned about 5 years ago and am curious if anyone knows anything on the number of resignations.

The Mormon church does not account for resignations, excommunications, or disappearances. The 15 million number if closer to anybody that has ever been born to a Mormon family or converted in the history of the Church than to the actual 3 to 5 million number of living self-identified in 2014 Mormons (TBMs, NOMs, Jack).

Total ever number of Mormons, high approximation 20 million. Current reported membership 15.2 million. Actual self-identified approximately 3 to 5 million.

Have you ever seen an accounting of annual resignations? They only give child of record baptisms, converts, and a number this ear bigger than a number last year.

It grows like a cancer.
