Bundy is on government subsidies. What he does think the grazing system is? It is a subsidized program that costs more to run than it takes in.

Bundy owes us $1.1 million (not counting interest and penalties) in grazing fees. He is illegally taking subsidies from the public and then using racist comments to defend himself.

As for blacks being dependent on the government, most government assistance goes to white folks. Most teabaggers are on Medicare and SS. Why is it okay for old white folk to take from the government, but not for blacks? The majority of food stamp recipients are white, not black.

And no, the only people who are worse off than slaves are the dead, and that is debatable.

I noticed several headlines this morning saying the GOP is backing away from this guy because of these comments. Who did they think he was?

He's just inconvenient to them right now. If they find out he can raise money effectively for the GOP, watch them embrace him again.

The Right embraced Carrie Prejean with her homophobic comments at a beauty pageant, but they later regretted it when they found out what a stupid tool she is.

They are doing the same thing with Bundy. Embrace a felon because he steals from the government, and then shockingly, you find out he makes appalling statements based on ignorance and racism. (Although that is redundant, since all bigotry is based on ignorance.)

Regarding the government subsidy Bundy receives: even if he had been paying his grazing fees he would still be the beneficiary of a government subsidy.

The BLM spends a lot of money administering the grazing program, and doing whatever else is associated with managing lands in the program. The annual amount is about $140 million (I saw $144 million in one reference). From grazing fees they take in about $21 million per year.
