I ask because according to the temple oracle name website people who went through on the 2nd have either the name, 'Jesse' for men, or 'Eunice' for women. My sister and I went thru on the same day (May 2nd '02) and I'm just wondering/looking for confirmation that her temple name is actually Eunice.

Ah, looking at the temple name website, http://www.fullerconsideration.com/templenameoracle.php, it appears the LDS church changed the name rotation in 1992. That explains it, I suppose.

I really liked my name and felt so special, I thought it was just for me. When I found out everyone gets the same name on a given day, I was so let down. I think that may have been the first crack in the shelf.

So, speaking as one who never went to the temple after a rather hilarious dead dunking session involving a water fight when I was a teen, I never knew about "temple names" until I read about them on this site. My folks were regular temple attendees but never spoke a word about it. WTF is with being given a different name? The more I learn about my former church, the more I am amazed at how totally fucked up it is.
