Currently (and scheduled for two weeks) a billboard is up in Denver sporting some pro bono sloganeering and art created by yours truly--pitting one bigger-than-life mythological character against another.
Yes, we're talking Santa vs. God.
Apparently, folks take their fairy tale Super Heroes quite seriously.
Last year, the same captioned art (which appeared on Seattle's metro buses) was repeatedly vandalized by believers insecure in their faith.
After being displayed on a billboard for only two days in Sin City Las Vegas, the sign company took the same art and message down, due to Christian complaints (I guess what goes up in Vegas doesn't always stay up in Vegas. Interestingly, I have yet to see offended godly Vegas Christians successfully demand that strip club, gambling, bar and escort service signs be taken down in their fair city. "In-God-We-Trust" filthy lucre talks, eh?)
Anyway, wish Santa luck as he raises ho-ho-ho holy hell! :)
