So the Bishop wants to meet with me and my tbm wife tomorrow. I am NOM , but I recently posted on Facebook that the church was wrong for disciplining Dehlin and Kelly. My wife is thinking she is getting released from a calling and I may get one.

I told her not to be surprised if I got ratted out by a member of the ward. I then told her I hadn't changed my mind and I would let the Bishop know that as well. . It really would be a shock to her if the church did get on me for my post, though I wouldn't put it past them. It could help open my wife's eyes on on the church functions.

Please call me on the carpet in front of my wife. . Please.

That's drama, ultra. I hope it's not trauma for you. Your tone seems relaxed. Stand your ground.

1. It's just a calling issue depending what it is I will probably just accept and do a bad job of it.

2. If I am being called on the carpet. . They are both getting a little lesson in true church history. I would be happy to defend John d. He's part of the reason I am still with my unyielding tbm wife. This could seriously show how bankrupt the church has become.

I mean I am smitten with her. So I sacrifice a lot for love.

I've been one of the more outspoken commentor voices in the bloggernacle for several years and so far my local leaders have said nothing. I doubt a post or three will do it unless a ward member recognized you.

As I read all these things going on, there is something that most Mormons don't realize "the dark side" of Mormonism. Can't think of a good term--ugly underbelly?

If your wife sees this side of the lds church, will it send her packing? I can't believe how many people still stay in even after experiencing it.

All wrong.

It is obvious the Bishop has been aware of you and your talents. He has seen your Greatness and Glory and wants to take possession of the whole of it.

Use of temple quotes are almost always hilarious. Keep 'em coming!

If this all gets nasty with the bishop, be sure to turn to your wife, hold her hand gently, look in her eyes and tell her that you are doing it all for the love of your wife. Even a TBM likes to hear that she comes first above the church.

If they are after you WHY have the wife there. So childish. They think she can reign you in. Honestly, how any member of the LDS church can deal with this organization is beyond me. They act like a boss and employee.
