The DesNews posted a story tonight full of missionary stats. Per the article, convert baptisms are up 15%, and when the surge is officially over, the number of full time missionaries will be massively above the pre-surge levels.
My favorite quote from the article is this: "The church will ask missionaries in those areas to pay for their iPads, which will be their property during and after their missions, at a cost of $400 apiece." I'm pretty sure I read it here on RfM months ago that Churchco would make the missionaries pay for their iPads. We have prophets among us!!
What an incentive for serving a mission. An iPad mini. Someone must have baptized Steve Jobs by now.
