I have a new laptop and was watching youtube. Now, when I click on any video, it just shows loading forever and will not play. Have Kaspersky on laptop, it shows nothing harmful.

I used my work laptop and the same thing happened.

Realize I must have this on my phone, as I can no longer watch videos on it (this happened months ago).

I didn't go to any porn sites. Other than you tube, I went to the sites that were hosting the Weird Al videos.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have no idea what causes it, but try switching to another browser and see if it works then.

I went from chrome to IE and it didn't work.

I've had that happen a few times lately. I can hear the audio but the video screen stays black. Doing a quick web search (YouTube videos will not play) I think the problem is on their end. A number of people are reporting it.

It was also a problem on the sites that hosted Weird Al. My laptop has had the problem for five days, so I don't think youtube is the issue.

Five days could be about right. It's been at least a few days for me. I've never had that problem before. I've turned off and reset my modem, and rebooted the computer -- not sure if that will help. I'm running Windows 8 and IE.

Even on a new computer, the Flash can be out of date.

Also, are you using Norton virus protection? I had trouble with YouTube because of Norton on a new computer.

It worked fine for a few days, and then had problems, so there was no change in Flash, or Kaspersky.

Didn't know it was your AV, though I should have assumed it.

I, too, watched the Weird Al "Tacky" from the link here yesterday (Saturday). Haven't loaded You Tube since then, but just did. It worked. I'll BOLO for any probs in the next four or so days. Thanks for the heads-up.

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling Adobe Flash Player.

Well as a fully qualified systems consultant I can you that it is that the Devil has got into your laptop.

Have you been eating apples?

First thing is to switch off then clean the screen with +10 holy water with at least +5 smiting power.

Leave to dry for twenty minutes. If the laptop levitates in the mean time try reciting any big name IT companies mission statement in Latin or Elfish.

Buy or preferably steal a crucifix and hold it up close to the laptop so that it can find the holy device.

If all that still does not work that I can safely say it was only a couplet and I don't think we teach that.

FYI unless you can drive at high speed to the temple with your eyes closed and not listening to anyone or saying or writing anything then you might just might get saved otherwise you are pretty dammed.

I was hoping for something less spiritual to fix the problem. I have dealt with possessed machines before (usually late at night before a deadline) but I have already sacrificed a virgin to my laptop and that did not help. Can't tell you how difficult it was to find a virgin outside of Utah.
