Ok, I know it's officially pioneer day. But, pie and beer sounds so much more awesome.

What about wine and cake day?

Never heard of pioneer day until this board (never mo, east coaster) but booze and sugar can make anything special.

Actually, according to my Puerto Rican friend, the food groups are Fat, Sugar, Caffeine, and Alcohol. I once asked if I should bring some caffeine free diet coke to a gathering, she just laughed.

Not being from Utah, I assumed you meant Pi day. You missed it. It was in March.

You just made me hungry for shepherd's pie, and a cold Stella.

Making a pie from scratch having beer and root beer for kids. Briefly go over family history with kids. Bring up polygamy and a few less pleasant mormon facts. Kids are getting older and want them to start having a clue about mormonisim so they know something before TBM relatives bring it up.
