This may be a weird topic, but I am doing laundry today, and am realizing how awesome it is to wear underwear that I WANT to wear! This summer I have rediscovered that Hanes, Jockey, etc. are still making great underwear since I stopped wearing them in the early 90s. I love being able to choose briefs, boxerbriefs, or whatever I want, and in any color. :)

Agreed! Who knew that just putting on black boxer briefs could put such a big smile on your face.

And - they are on sale right now with the back-to-school deals.

Hanes are good, Fruit of the Loom are not, Costco has the wonderful underwear.

White T Shirts - Sam's Club brand is the best followed by Costco followed by Hanes.

Not having to wear those god awful looking uncomfortable pieces of ill fitting cloth from bee hive clothing is in itself enough reason to leave TSCC.

Not to get too personal, but the Hanes comfort soft brand is awesome. At Walmart, Jockey makes a boxerbrief called "Flex Stretch" that is about as comfortable as it gets.

The Costco boxer briefs are really comfortable.

It is not petty to want to be able to choose your own underclothes. This was a huge reason why I never became endowed. My TBM mother & sister look at me like I'm on crack & meth & heroin because I wear regular underclothes.

What other cult on earth has all its escapees waxing rhapsodic about the joys of underwear?

My personal choice is briefs. Nut huggers as they're called. Thank gawd I never had to wear anything else. Just having my oversize junk swinging about loose would have driven me bonkers I know, and I'd probably feel just like you guys.

You men should count your lucky stars that you didn't have to deal with wearing panties and bras under all that crap. Or feel frumpy wearing knee length shorts, long skirts, and modest tops every damn day.

My wife still does, and I agree, it is ridiculous.

I'll never understand why TBM women still wear those things, yet from what I've seen on Mormon mommy boards, they don't see anything wrong with complaining about them. If anyone suggested to those Babycenter hens to just take them off, they would be called apostates.

When I was 19 and went through, most guys wore briefs or bikinis--there were no boxer briefs yet, and boxer shorts were for old guys. :) To be a good boy, I wore tighty whities on the day I went through, before I had to ditch them and get "felt up". (Being the first one to go through in my family, I had no idea what was about to happen.)

I made my transition from Gs to boxer briefs, initially. As much as I liked just being out of the Gs, like taking off handcuffs, I found undywehrz to be surprisingly expensive and the boxer briefs ride up almost instantly and stay there, which I hate. Now I've found a version, the Champion Long Boxers, that don't ride up because they are the same length as garment briefs. It's a bit ironic that I'm back in garment length underwear, but it's what is comfortable, and I get to buy them in black and call them the devil's underwear.

http://uglies.com/

They are expensive but you can sign up for the newsletter and know when they have sales. And they last for YEARS, very well made.

I've been wearing JC Penney underwear my whole life....can't imagine how great it must feel to put on soft, comfy briefs after years of wearing that Mormon garbage...

It was a thrilling trip to Target when I bought my undies- 5 for $20. Lacy, cute, colorful. Aaaahhh, happy.

My husband has been going "comado" for years. He says it's the only way to go.
