If this isn't indicative of the Mormon church, I don't know what else is. Check this out:

With a moral victory and $1.00 you can buy a cup of coffee at most 7-11 stores.
If you win you win----If you lose you lose PERIOD

Some voters were more/less valiant in the primaries.

yah ! if only my lame brained dead wood MORmON parents would have concentrated on REALLY being more like their MORmON leaders and MORmON elite like Mitt Romney and Bill Marriott, you know! ON MAKING MOReMONEY by doing stuff like selling porn in hotel rooms and gutting the American Business base and peddling cigarettes to teen agers ala Romney's Bain Capital WHICH BY THE WAY ALSO ACCEPTED MILLIONS IN GOVERNMENT BAIL OUT FUNDS! if only my MORmON parents could have done that instead of living the quasi Christian gospel that MORmONISM uses as a phony front, then I could have been in that upper crust money laiden *middle* class!

Good article link.
When Romney decided to reverse health care access position for everyone he simply highlighted what he intended to perpetuate- a multi level marketing pyramid modeled after corporation of LDS church. No love for the little man in Mormonism and Romney capitalist principles. But he might be ok with slave labor wages to build those pyramids.

Just to make absolutely certain that we know how delusional the remarks about poor and minority voters are, even more Romney supporters have jumped on the bandwagon.

The latest foot-in-mouth episode involves former Congressman Tom Davis of Virginia. He claimed, on national TV, that Obama won because he turned out “underclass minorities.” He also dissed people who live in “apartments” with an unspoken comparison to those salt-of-the-earth Romney supporters who live in houses (or many houses, as the case may be).

Lol

I think the only 'millions of Americans' he captured the imagination of were a small, cultish group in the Rocky mountains, who saw him as a white horse in shining armor to save a religion that looks increasingly absurd by the day.

As far as the rest of Americans, Mitt Romney was just 'meh'

When you tell the poor they need to pay more taxes, tell the middle class that the only thing they should expect from their taxes is a bigger military and more corporate welfare, why would they vote for you?

Romney's goodies whine is filled with chutzpah and a huge lack of self-awareness. What did his campaign promise? Tax cuts for the rich and more corporate welfare. Why do you think Adelson gave him $100 million? Because he thought Romney was so handsome?

Romney donors wanted hand outs, but they already live in mansions and want to not only buy another house, but have themselves be applauded for being "job creators". Jesus had a lot to say about them, and it was not nice.

With unemployment having been over 8% for more than three years this election should have been a cakewalk for the Republicans. One of the rules of thumb is that when the economy is bad the incumbent loses.

Not only that, they had a guy with a reputation for turning bad businesses around. Romney was the ideal candidate. The economic fix-it guy against a president who failed to turn a bad economy around. What more could they dream for?

If there is a "moral victory" here it belongs to Obama. He won clearly (not squeaking by) and convincingly in an election that all the indicators say he should have lost. So why did Obama win? Why did the ideal candidate lose? I think there are two reasons

First is that the Republican primary system requires a candidate to become a right-wing whacko for the primaries then run to the center for the general election. This solidified Romney's reputation as a flip-flopper. Then there were the right-wing rape-dismissers. They helped paint the Republicans as out-of-touch, religious fanatics.

Second Romney is a Mormon. This issue was effectively swept under the table as a campaign issue but I think it was the elephant in the room. If you were to ask, "what is the one thing that neither of the candidates is talking about but is on many people's minds?" the answer would be Mitt's Mormonism. Mitt's "it's bad to ask" approach to dealing with his Mormonism did not diffuse the issue, it just drove it underground.

I 'respectfully' DISAGREE:
voters are (were) smart enought to realize that business/econ is only a small Fraction of being POTUS;

Commander-in-chief of the military, etc.

People saw / understood what a Disaster his foreign trip was (offended Everyone in sight), that was Pretty Much the END of it (other than choosing Ryan, that is).

Oh yeah; his backers & advisors were also exposed as Selfish special-interest shills - baffoons. being Unfriendly if not Anti-environmental & anti-organised labor didn't help, Not one bit.
