In a world that tends to separate people into defined groups, it’s not easy to be bisexual. Psychologist Lisa Diamond says the stereotype is that people who claim to be attracted to both sexes just haven’t come out yet. Of course, it’s much more complicated. In 2008, Diamond wrote a book about how flexible sexuality is for women. These days, she’s learning men are, as she puts it, “pretty darn sexually fluid, too.” Monday, Lisa Diamond joins Doug to talk about the spectrum of human sexuality.
Lisa Diamond is a professor of Developmental and Health Psychology at the University of Utah. She's the author of Sexual Fluidity [Indiebound|Amazon]

There are those who would have us believe in the validity of what they choose to call same-sex marriage…
I have touched lightly on some of the serious problems which confront many of you sisters.

With so much of sophistry that is passed off as truth, with so much of deception concerning standards and values, with so much of allurement and enticement to take on the slow stain of the world, we have felt to warn and forewarn. In furtherance of this we of the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles now issue a proclamation to the Church and to the world as a declaration and reaffirmation of standards, doctrines, and practices relative to the family which the prophets, seers, and revelators of this church have repeatedly stated throughout its history. I now take the opportunity of reading to you this proclamation:

The proclamation’s clear and simple language stands in stark contrast to the confused and convoluted notions of a society that cannot even agree on a definition of family, let alone supply the help and support parents and families need. You are familiar with such words from the proclamation as these:
• “Marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God.”
• “Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.”…
