I'm starting a list of what exmos are. If you'd like to contribute feel free.

Exmos are: Readers. Last week there was a post about what everybody was reading and around 50 people posted what they were reading. And nobody was reading Twilight.

I can think of a lot of great things exmos are. What are some of your definitions?

It was easy for me to walk away because I have no close family still in Mormonism, but I am so filled with admiration for those who have stood by their convictions in the face of being ostracized and losing spouses, parents and children.

Doomed to burn in the fiery hells of Outer Darkness for eternity in eternal pain as a reminder of how evil it was for them to think.

We can skip the firey hells of outer Darkness because we know the secret passwords and handshakes to get through the veil. LOL!

No, wait, I don't want to go the the Celestial Kingdom and be eternally pregnant. I guess I'll opt for outer darkness.

Exmos are really smart people who go with their gut when something doesn't feel right.

Also exmos give people like me (mom of a convert) lots of hope for our children.... that one day they may be like you. Thanks.

it's my belief that a significant percentage of ex mormons are entj or intj on the myers briggs personality test. Two of sixteen types, yet I'm willing to bet at least half of us are 1 of those too. Certain folks are more inclined to choose principal over social acceptance. I also prophesy that as more people start openly leaving the church in droves, the more socially oriented people will leave as well after seeing all the social proof .

actually out of mormonism, I feel more normal and less
a sex addict, tho since my girlfriend got interested in
mormonism god forbid, I am twice as sexual toward her
wonder why, god giving me a 2nd chance for eternal sex
in heaven but the problem is I dont believe it, just
wish it so and play along with her and not leave her
because she wants an eternal sex husband. Might try
converting her to something else but the sex is to good
to bother, she doesnt care that I enjoy a drink/smoke
sometimes but only time will tell if she joins the church
then judges me like shit he he.....

Still dumber than every nevermo out there who told the mishies where they could put their BOM, and never let them in the door.

Still regreting ever trying to live the law of chastity in HS while others were scoring at will.

Still feeling stupid for ever being gulible enough to think we had special powers our moms could never have, at age 12.

The list could go on forever.

Being an exmo makes me feel many things, but brilliant, intelligent, and smart are not included. Smarter that I was, yes, but it's all relative...
