Maybe the problem wasn't that you were in a cult. Maybe you were just in the wrong cult for you. ;)

<like> Creative and fun.

Kind of takes you back a minute at the idea---Hey, that's been my problem all along! I'm in the wrong cult and just need to choose a different one.

But, yeah, maybe I should look for a coffee or chocolate cult. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to go to worship services.

Given the questions, I don't think there is a cult for me....

... I couldn't answer four of the questions because none of the answers applied to me AT ALL---not even in a sense where I could "guess" an answer that MIGHT apply to me (maybe in some alternate universe??

Does this mean I'm cult-proof?? ;)

I was the same way, I don't waste money on any of that stuff. I wonder what they based these questions off of?

My coffee cult meets just about every morning at Good Earth Coffee House....everyone is more than equal, no membership requirements, no rules & ladies are welcome...so may be it's not quite ready for cult status.

When I left Mormonism, dissatisfied with their lack if cult power, I realized I needed a real WOWSER of a cult, I found a really lively one, and now I am cult happy! :)

Would you care to tell us any details of your cult?

Darn it!!

And here I thought I was going to have the opportunity to vicariously experience a lively, real WOWSER of a cult!!

(I was ALREADY trying to imagine what you might say...and I have a VERY vivid imagination!!)

:D :D

O, well, in that case, maybe I CAN help, after all. Ya see, there's these temple carvings in Khajuraho... ;) :D

Do you know that I have been studying the temple carvings in Khajuraho since I was about ten or eleven?

My aunt had many unusual and wonderful books...and among them was a photo-study of Khajuraho.

I learned a great deal from those photos!! (And, at that age, developed a great many questions, too!!)

Some of those questions STILL have not been answered!!

:D :D

I have a feeling I definitely can help in this area of questioning! Esoteric tantra is one of my areas of expertise! I;ll bring the Shiva, you bring the Shakti, and we'll churn an ocean of amrita out of spirit and breath.

Esoteric tantra, now there's a fun cult, babe. Happy to introduce you...

Answering with 2 completely different sets of answers. All answers applied to me though.

I call shenanigans on this crap.

This reminds me of the essay by Pannapacker called "Is Academia a Cult?" I think it is. Many academic conventions and hierarchies are so bizarre that they could only continue within a cult.

"The International Worldwide Church of Christian Sciensology For the Triumphant Unification of Krishna's Latter Day Witnesses."

Excellent entry (pun intended) positions available, especially for winsome, starry-eyed, gullible young ladies.

I got scientology! Why would I go to full-on crazy if I just left quite-crazy?

Apparently, I need to join the Illuminati. I think it's because I chose "30 Rock" in the sitcom category. I always knew something was up with Tina Fey. *cough*
