Women's Meeting Tonight

I'm a guy, So It doesn't matter to me, but I so happen to be watching the stream of the meeting there and the first talk is about temples. Let me guess, revenue push anyone? Pathetic that they keep going this route.

This Women's meeting crap is the church's way of responding to the whole OW fiasco. See, women are totally equal. They have their own meeting so they don't need to attend PH.

They've always had the Women's Meeting

They used to call it RS Conference and it was always the Saturday evening before GC. I went one year when I was Stake Exec Secretary to support the SP.

Correct. It's been re-branded as the Women's meeting and now includes all girls/women age 8 and above.

Temples, Temples, Temples. That is the theme tonight so far.... Please young people, you need to realize that you are being had by a cult that just wants your dollars and to brainwash you, thats the whole purpose of all that. Anyway... A bit of a rant but its just how I feel right now.

Some creepy woman just told primary children to always remind their parents to pray. Yeah, that's what Mormonism needs - a bunch of children who think God wants them to go around correcting adults and telling them what to do.

I need to turn on Netflix.

Is it mandatory that all Mormons tune into the conference telecasts?

At noon I saw a bishop and his wife at their 10 year old daughter's soccer match. Their 14 daughter was there too.

They can catch it later or read it online. Really only the Sunday a.m. meeting is considered the not-to-miss event. And for a lot of guys, priesthood.

Having the Relief Society meeting 1 week before conference is disrespectful in itself. How many women can attend this meeting and stay a week to attend general conference.
