If you look at masturbation as something that feels good but does not affect the world because it doesn't create a child, Mormonism can be called a form of masturbation. Mormonism makes people feel good. It feels good to go to testimony meeting, it feels good to build temples, it feels good to do missionary work, it feels good to be a Church member. But Mormonism doesn't really affect the wider world very much. Mormonism has not created a "child" that has affected the world in a big way. Maybe the Church's obsession with masturbation is an unconscious realization that the Church itself is a form of masturbation.

Well, I certainly think masturbation is very enjoyable! But testimony meeting, building temples, etc.? Maybe those are best described as mental masturbation. Boner.

But for me that damnable church was more like mental mastication. Bastard chewed me up when I was tender.

mormonism is hedonism .....
Believing something not because it is true but because it makes you feel good.

You're giving masturbation a bad name. Stop it, or you'll go blind.

When one consider how little money the church gives to real charity purposes, this is kind of true. What little they do give to charitable purposes is most often tied to a person's attending church, or to recruit new members, or to make the church look good. All of the church's other money is used to expand the church's financial empire and to enrich the general authorities.
