perhaps ideally speaking, those kind of love, christs love, only can be seen among city of enoch people or those early saints who had all-things-in-common in both new and old world as in the scriptures. so, if thats the case, in a strict sense, perhaps has he not experienced those kind of loving experiences by himself or not seen those kind of love among lds in his entire life, so far?? so, if thats the case, perhaps he was describing those love without much confidence deep in his heart, just showing his wisdom, took that type of love lightly?? but perhaps ok for him because he feels/thinks he is loved by his fellow saints and he loves his fellow saints too.
