I suspect he is a cultural Mormon hiding under the veneer of a true believe and as such I suspect he cafeteria-style picks what he likes and leaves the rest.

If I were to bet I would be Chapel Cleaning isn't on his list of Mormon To Dos. He will find better things to do like write articles about laughing at critics.

I don't know, I think he's the kind of person who joyfully participates in all things Mormon. I don't think he's faking it, I think he is a true believer. He must be, otherwise he would be just another schmuck like the rest of us and he is terrified at the prospect of being irrelevant.

I love the visual, but I think the ward bishop manages to 'excuse' those he is told to excuse from this lousy manual assignment. I bet that the big tithe payers in a ward also all get a pass from this disgusting job. I just cannot visualize the docs and dentists and CEO's reporting for duty.
