For years you have said that I have been wrong about the church, told me to stop teaching the children "false doctrine" and confusing them with "anti-mormon" facts. I can assure you the children aren't very confused. The LDS Church and you are in a spiral though, given they've had to admit to most of the things I and others have been writing about for years. They are learning the truth the children already know, and which you don't yet.

Let me help you by giving you the links to the church's own website that shows:

Joseph Smith married 14-yr-old teen girls and already married women (with other living husbands)

There are people older than Adam and Eve who lived in America long before the alleged Book of Mormon peoples, and evolution is used by the LDS church to study the DNA problems they have.
Book of Mormon and DNA Studies

Joseph Smith gave several different versions of his First Vision, some of which even confused whether he saw God or an angel.
http://www.lds.org/topics/first-vision-accounts

Joseph Smith used a stone in a top hat to supposedly translate the Book of Mormon, not using plates at all.
http://www.lds.org/topics/book-of-mormon-translation

The LDS Church disavows the racism of Brigham Young, so therefore puts Monson and other current leaders at risk of future disavowel over gay-rights.

http://www.lds.org/topics/race-and-the-priesthood

Joseph Smith had not a single clue how to translate regular Egyptian in the book of Abraham. Therefore, his translation of so-called "Reformed Egyptian" is completely dubious.

Eventually, you're going to have to explain why all these things were known for decades and the church came after many of us for teaching them, only to later admit to them on their own website.

This is awesome!

Probably one of the best short summaries with LDS friendly links/sources I've seen.

I like this post. Definitely going to keep for future reference! I too really really want to lay it hard into my family and inlaws. But I know that they won't be able to see it through their "truth" filter. Yes, I read that in a conference talk. For faithful Mormons, truth has a filter.

But I will keep for future reference in case one of them has questions.

> and confusing them with "anti-mormon" facts

Be sure you refer to your information as "anti-mormon lies" though... because to TBMs, the phrase "anti-mormon facts" does not compute.

1. is why you were willing to fight to the ground, defending the Churches lies over consideration of factual information presented to you?

2. why you were willing to discontinue relationships with so-called apostates (who discovered these and other inconvenient truths before the Church was ready to admit to them) because you were so afraid any factual information might damage your testimony

A testimony that was built on information selectively provided by the Church who recommends you "just believe" and "have faith" and most importantly don't do any independent verification of facts that you prove that the information provided is not completely true or factual and don't talk to anti-Mormons(or as I like to be called "fact checker".

3. why you are so willing to label those friends and family members who could not reconcile the lies being told within the "one true Church" with the facts being discovered, those same people, who were insisting on honesty and integrity from an organization claiming to be the "The ONE True Church", as Anti-Mormon instead of "truth seeker"?

4. Why was protecting your emotional investment in the Church more important than the truth or in people?

I am suggesting that you take time to consider if your loyalties to the Church are well placed.

Great post, and replies. I'm keeping this in my archives.

I always use Mormon-approved church sources, because I think those are the most damaging of all. Let the LDS shoot themselves in the foot. All we need to do is make sure the members are aware of all these blunders, lies, and back-pedals.

The cult is its own worst enemy. It's evil underbelly is always being exposed.
