I assume it is recording in a loop of some length.

Sooner or later, these loops will have some of the most spectacular footage of head on collisions.

No passing, no accidents. Just broadcast the sound on wireless to your FM, and you're set. Road trip!

Makes sense. Expensive, but would lower their insurance cost. And, obviously, since they are the manufacturers, for them the cost would be lower.

The camera is wireless. How long until these things get hacked?

Harmless hacks might include showing ads, Rick-rolling or stupid messages.

Harmful hacks might include showing the road ahead to be clear when it really isn't. That could be simple to do with a time delay on the video stream.

They should put that on the back of SUVs. Then I could see the traffic lights at intersections from my sedan.
