+1 on "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". also add "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe?", and the origional "Father of the Bride" with Spencer Tracy.

As many health problems as she has had in recent years, I still thought she would live forever. But I guess her movies will.

That's the first news I got this morning. So sad. I've got Virginia Woolf recorded on my dvr. I've been putting off watching it because it's such an emotional roller coaster. Guess I'll get around to it tonight.

While I'm at it I think I'll watch Giant again too. Probably my favorite actress.

All of them. The rules have been changed. She'll probably enjoy that!

She was a grand lady. One of a kind, a legend. Rest in peace.

But yes, she'd clearly had health problems for a while. :(

She was quite beautiful as a young woman, but she was also callous, promiscuous, shallow, ignorant, and ridiculous. Her constant husband hopping became a joke during the 60s and 70s, as did her makeup and clothes.

She had a little talent for acting. Very little.

I might watch "Giant" tonight, too. Because James Dean is in it.

Is there anyone else in their mid-forties or under for whom Elizabeth Taylor is a complete non-issue?

To me she is just the plump lady with way too much makeup who married a way younger, typical 1980's rocker looking guy. Other than that, I don't know her a bit.

I've never seen one of her movies. To me she is just one of those people that old people like to talk about, like Judy Garland.

Is it the same for others my age?
