My two faves:

You're So Vain, by Carly Simon
Me and Mrs. Jones, by Billy Paul

Hey, I just noticed that both singers have two first names. It must be synchro-java-tee.

Oh, wow, ... I'm not making this up... Paul Simon.

I am just a poor boy.
Though my story's seldom told,
I have squandered my resistance
For a pocketful of mumbles,
Such are promises
All lies and jest,
Still, a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest.

(That one included Art.)

That song lyric is gripping. There's something about it that hurts.

Which is pretty good with any anti-WoW drink.

My coffee shop always has something on the go....from old jazz (not bad), new jazz (not) to rock and on rare occasions, blues..which I love.

Classical music is for a contemplative god. Jazz is for a happy god. Country music is for a weepy god. Rap and metal are for an angry god. Gospel is for a narcissistic god. Elevator music is for a catatonic god.

But the blues? That music is for us. Us and us alone. It's bad to the bone.

Usually its Give said the little Stream, by MoeTabChior. But sometimes I like to mix it up with a Kermmit The Frog and S.W.Kimbal duet called Do Drink the Kool-aid.

Sorry must be the Orange Shady talking.

One of my favorite Van Morrison recordings...

This works directly from YouTube, but not from this link. It is "Crazy Love," by Van Morrison.

And one of the best tributes ever...

I've been listening to a piano virtuoso on YouTube, Cory Hall, (BachScholar.) Not only is he an excellent classical player, he's also great at Ragtime, which is a favorite of mine. He never has sheet music in front of him. I marvel at this guy. Besides that, his hair is worn the right way. Like mine!
