Shocked! Yes, it's shocked that I am!

But then, I suppose it makes me a prophet!

I'm having a Mountain Dew and celebrating the fact that I have survived all these years. I am not dead and I'm not in jail. I am sending a virtual one-finger salute to all those people who were so very sure that would be my destiny.

And virtual {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}} to all of you.

Right there with you, Doxi. When my father sent me to a boy's ranch at fifteen, everyone thought I'd come to a bad end. Hell, they had me halfway convinced. But I served in the military, worked and paid taxes for thirty five years and bought a small home for my family. A big one-finger salute to my parents and their ilk.

That would be my parents I needed to salute. I'm alive and have a clean record and am in good health.

Thanks. We need to stick together in the face of the people who need to be saluted for their efforts.

A client came in this week and handed me a lovely bottle of Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon. She said "I don't know how you tell if it's white or red - you can't see through the bottle!"

I'm drinking it.

Iced tea. It's a proverbial middle finger because my TBM ex had a fit when as an "investigator" with no Mormon family, I drank it in front of him thinking it was allowed because it was iced.

A refreshing gin tonic but the best part is that my RM son is having a Stella Cider for the first time and loving it! He has been on his way out for a couple of months but I just blew his mind with the temple oracle and knew his temple name! Now I'm going to have to find another designated driver....Damn!

Drove 350 miles north of home to see our grandson play hockey tomorrow. I had a tankard of Shocktop and a pint of Guinness with supper and my wife had a vodka/rocks. Been a long day so we're watching Five-0 at our hotel and getting then catching some zz's.

Coppola Diamond Claret.

It was on sale and I couldn't pass it up. Served along side a Shrimp-Ricky (Tail-on shrimps quick-steamed in a butter-olive oil, rosemary, basil, onion, roasted-garlic,lemon juice, and black pepper sauce/marinade with Ciabitta bread for dipping. Rice is optional. Steamed rice is good. Clam-fried rice is better.

Cake

but I have decided that about a half-thimble-full of Glenfiddich is enough to give me that "ever-so-evil" rush, and doesn't seem to cause any medical difficulties.

The taste lingers and lingers. And it BURNS!

I think that the thrill (especially for us exmos) in doing once-forbidden things is knowing that you are symbolically thumbing your nose at SLC. I still get a rush every time I look at my tattoo, and I get the same feeling when I chug my wee allotment of Glenfiddich.

It's the single-finger salute thing.

And I'll add the thrill of posting to/reading exmormon.org. Lol!
