Straight off their own site.

*FYI, Smith got the power from God to "seal" people in 1836 yet did not seal himself to HIS OWN LEGAL WIFE that he married 18 January 1827 until 28 May 1843.
So, compared against this -

Emma was way way down the list, slipped in between a couple of teenagers. More source material here http://exmormon.org/phorum/read.php?2,1438886,1438886#msg-1438886

Note that the average age for menses at the time was 17. Odd because the whole commandment of polygamy was to raise up righteous seed. That also debunks the whole "he didn't have sex with them" line.

Thanks. I honestly do not want to engage them anymore than I already have. I told them last night that I was done and I will continue to tell them that until they leave me alone.

I think that sounds like the smartest plan. It's like the old saying: if you ignore something, it will go away. They will probably take it personally, but your life is not their life and you're the one who gets to decide how you live it.

If either of the missionaries maintains a blog, you could visit it to see if they said anything about you. Many mention investigators who back out from baptism as being worked on by Satan, not wanting to live the correct way, too lazy to change, etc. It's hurtful some of the things they write. If all investigators read missionary blogs, I doubt anyone would ever join Mormonism. They lay bare their arrogance, the church's need for numbers, the rudeness of members, everything they don't want their potential customers to see.

To say you dodged a bullet is cliché, but it is a perfect analogy of how you have saved your own life. Freedom is so sweet.

Your approach to not engage them is the best. As you can tell, many of us have lost a lot of years to this organization. I was once a missionary too. The more you engage them, the more they will bother you. There is a reason they send 19 year olds out...they are all passion and no real world experience. However, just like many on this forum, I did my own research and study and made my own choice.

So when we overload you with information :))), it is simply because many of us were raised in the church and did not have the benefit of someone being honest with us. We don't want that to happen to you. This church will crush your soul...they will tell you you are not good enough, they will shame you for sins, they will distort your own morality and sense of good, they will break you to the point where you feel your only relief is them. They infiltrate ALL aspects of your life.

Many of us have been damaged, or have had loved ones hurt by this organization. This organization continues to fool and destroy good people. That is why we are here...we support one another and share information,etc... Be glad you have not joined this cult.
