On FaceBook there was an ad about the benefits of rope bondage. They had a picture of a girl in a sexy pose tied up. I have never heard of rope bondage. Is it a healthy benefit like the ad claimed it was? I know my wife would nix it.

As FB customizes it's advertisements.....hmmmm.

All I know is "healthy benefit" is in the eye of the beholder.

So that's why they had Nephi tied up on the boat...

It can actually be extremely dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

...which I am all too familiar with, being from a hellish puppy mill.
I guess I just don't understand humans. I mean, if I was a human-type fella, and having a nice time with a human-type significant other, why would I want to tie em up? I'd rather have their extremities free so they can do nice things(trying to be tasteful here) to me!

Hell, I'm sure there are plenty of BDSM enthusiasts who don't participate in it. The way the ropes are tied, the participant is strung up, and the rope rubs the *ahem* delicate areas, it looks uncomfortable to say the least. It's a very involved practice. Also, dangerous in the hands of inexperienced amateurs.

For those who might be interested, rope bondage is very relaxing for the one being tied. It also fosters a sense of trust between the participants. As mentioned earlier, it is essential to know what you are doing and I would add to that: to only do it to someone willing and able to use a "safeword."

Probably less harmful than staring into the sun. <shakes head, rolls eyes>

Now the only thing "kinky" about it a possible twist in the rope. Don't anybody dare call bondage aficionadi "twisted!" That's hate speech, you know.

It is now 2015. I wonder what it will take to shock us in 2020.

Shocking is subjective.

Shock bondage though, titillating stuff.

Damn straight. You know what shocks me? When a straight woman confesses she's never had an orgasm from her male partner in any shape or form.

As long as sexual practices are between consenting adults, what's the big deal? Even objectophilia isn't even that shocking. At least those people aren't hurting anyone else.

My husband used to be into light bondage.

It was great, because at least I didn't have to answer the phone, and I could relax for a while.

Now he is into unspeakable bondage!

He's descended into things like wanting a family, children, a van and a 30 year mortgage!

THAT'S bondage :-)

Now that's funny! Good one. And a van too, LOL.

LMAO...You sound like my BFF...She always tells people she doesn't believe in slavery, so she's not interested in marriage.

I like a little bondage play now and then, but I have traumatic memories of being forced to learn how to tie knots from my time in the scouts, so I shall not be participating in this one. However, I do know how to creatively use handcuffs, duck tape and plastic saran wrap in creative ways.

Is this a real question?

With how much it appears you are on the internet, you dont know how ads work on the internet?

Based on the cookies on your computer, they direct ads that mostly fit your internet searches and viewing. Internet ads are not random. They are specifically directed to the user. (thank you Omniture - Mormon owned, originally based in Orem)

Ads are designed to get you to click on them. Many of them are paid by the click. It is safer for your computer to avoid clicking on internet ads.

This is a most excellent point. The OP has revealed a bit about himself by mentioning the ad in the first place. I have never seen this bondage ad on FB. You know why? Because I have never done an internet search about it (no need, BTDT ;>)).

I submit the OP has, in fact, heard of "rope bondage" before. If he hadn't, how else would the FB bots know which ads to send to his FB page? HMMMMM?

LOL

Maybe Themaster (neat name considering he hadn't heard of rope bondage) had a search for 'crepe bandage' messed up by predictive autofill? ;o))

Gives a whole new meaning to the bible story about Moses getting the Hebrews out of bondage, doesn't it? ;-)

Oh. Oh dear.

Someone has used themaster's computer to search for bondage.

But this doesn't mean it was themaster.

You guys are so funny. I go to this site. Went to Post Mormon this week and found it boring. I go to CNN, Fox News and Drudge Report. I also went to Huffpost. I also read FaceBook. The other sites are work and emails. Then there are all the porn sites you guys imagine I must go to. On FaceBook I get lots of ads wanting to find me a woman over 50, diabetes help and weight loss. I also get investment advice ads on Facebook. The LDS ads drive me nuts. I think it has to do with all the LDS people I know that post on Facebook.

The Master name comes from the TV show Doctor Who. I have been watching Doctor Who since the 1970's. I like The Master from that time era.

Anything else you want to know?

Hey now, no need to get so defensive.

We are not here to judge.

If rope bondage is what you are in to, its fine by me.

Nice Mormon boys want to meet me! I don't know why they want to meet a 16-year-old weiner dog who's losing his eyesight, but I'm thinking I don't really want to know!

I also get the inevitable viagra and ersatz viagra ₵ʁ₳Ᵽ. I wonder if viagra works when you've been fixed...

And this guy in Nigeria wants to give me part of his gazillion dollar fortune. It sounds cool but I don't need money. I'm a dog. I gots my mom and dad, a warm bed, good food, and RfM trolls for my chew toys, who could ask for more?

Since you asked,...I want to know what happens after the person is tied up. Details please The Master, I need more details or I will forever be wondering. Lol

I think ltzpapalot has a lot more knowledge and experience with rope bondage than I do. I grew up in the era you keep your garments on during sex if your wife was ugly like Mahana.

But otherwise, it's great to be from Generation X because we were (are) open to learning about all sorts of fresh and interesting activities.

Also keep in mind I'm studying to (possibly) become a sex therapist, so I have to understand my specific field of study.

upsidedown, just read a bondage magazine. Then you can learn ALL about what happens afterwards. ;)
