So when the Smithsonian rubbishes the entire (fictional) plot of your religious text you ignore it BUT when it picks your founder in its list you embrace it and rejoice.

Double standard much?

P.S. The list was published in November - how did it take so long for the LDS Church News to spot this?!!!

Note that "significant" doesn't mean "good."

Hitler was pretty darn "significant" in the 20th century.

Also on the list of 11 "significant American religious figures:"
L. Ron Hubbard, Mary Baker Eddy, Ellen G. White.

Not exactly a parade of people to emulate.

Not quite the top 100 americans, he is in the top ten of the reiligious category. there are ten categories. not the same thing at all. Fair play for him being the greatest confidence trickster in The united states of america. i'll give him that one.
