Today was the first day in my adult life I didn't wear an LDS garment top. The only reason I wore the bottoms is because I haven't had a chance to buy new ones yet. TMI? Yes, but seriously, I'm thrilled! :)

JC Penney boxer briefs. Been wearing 'em for decades....good luck.

I vote for black and navy briefs, not Batman Pinchers (Pinchers would probably be uncomfy after garments.) Micro-fiber for summer.

Agree with the boxer briefs theory, although mine are Champion brand (you know--for champions). Ron knows. Listen to Ron. Always.

I don't know if you're male or female,

But if female, Victoria Secret "T-Shirt" Bras are pretty awesome.

Dumped my garms in a pile on the driveway, doused'em with gasoline and lit it up! I wore nylon mesh so they didn't burn as well as cotton but they did burn. I have been a butt hugger/tank tee guy ever since. There are several threads on the topic. A search on the word 'briefs' should bring them to your attention.

Welcome to the real world! At the gym I don't have to act all weird while trying to hide the garms from the prying eyes of my fellow exercise buddies. No need to explain what Hanes are.

No more garments is one of the most exciting parts of leaving Mormonism! Congrats and happy underwear shopping!

New Underwear is a cause for celebration!! Go wild. Get a little crazy! Try a bunch of different styles. Wal Mart has packages that are not very expensive, so you can go hog wild! hehe

This very discussion is proof that the LDS Church is a cult.

That said, I like the A D I D A S Climalite Boxer Briefs. They're 90% cotton and 10% spandex so they breathe but don't lose their shape. JCPenney carries them. I never buy white.

Hooray for another fellow finally-normal-underwear-wearer!

I love celebrating with other grown adults who are buying their choice of underwear for the first time ever!

And I'm being totally serious!

Congratulations to freeatlast!

Does anyone else think it's weird that we can get SO excited just to buy regular underwear? C-U-L-T

Yeah Baby!

Fill that undie drawer with COLOR!

That's what I did. I can match my undies to my outfits, or not. It's awesome and unbelievably freeing.

Getting your underwear choice back is like graduating from kindergarten straight to graduate school. Now you can put on your big boy or girl panties and be all growed up!

Underwear choice is a bit of a reflection of your new brain onto your ass. It's a reflection of having a free and colorful mind and not a black and white one.

To the Bish "See these! (as you yank out a new set of bright yellow Equipo underwear from under your beltline) This means I am impervious to LDS hierarchy mind tricks!"

Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement! I went with Hanes (boring, I know) but it's a great feeling to realize a church isn't controlling my underwear. I might never understand why I once thought that was an OK place to be. Freedom feels great!

OK quote of the year freeatlast2015 - "it's a great feeling to realize a church isn't controlling my underwear."

Just wait till you experience other things they cannot control - like how you use your time or what to do on Monday nights. FREEEEEE DOMMMMMM

Uglies.com They have more panels and don't ride up even under jeans. They are expensive but they wear like iron. They last for around 10 years I kid you not.

Pretty panties and colored bras make me feel like a WOMAN!!!! I actually feel sensual sometimes, and celebrate my female anatomy instead of be annoyed I have to hide it from potential perverts. It's like I am free to own and USE my body as well as my brain now. CRAZY!
