Moving and succinct. Worth the read, worth sharing.

Wow! Just wow!

This lady hits a grand slam out of the park.

Her letter ought to be posed on every LDS chapel door.

This woman sounds like she needs to read, pray and pay more. clearly she is sinning greatly in her life.

Tell me you are not serious.
Tell me this is satire.
Please!

You sound just like one of those empty suits!

'Apology' is not in Mormon scripture.

'Apologist' is another matter.

Trust me, the breverun are on the case.

They have been fervently pleading the LGBT case before Jesus Himself at their weekly meetings, as did SWK with that nigra question.

Word is Jesus finally agreed to an apology as soon as tapirs fly out of Boyd's butt.

Absolutely beautiful and demonstrates all the class and dignity that Oaks only wishes he had.

This letter needs to be published for a larger audience.

Excellent in every way. The author should perhaps send this to the New York Times.

"I know that the history of the church is not to seek apologies or to give them," Oaks said in an interview. "We sometimes look back on issues and say, 'Maybe that was counterproductive for what we wish to achieve,' but we look forward and not backward. The church doesn't "seek apologies," he said, "and we don't give them." -- LDS Apostle Dallin H. Oaks

That's one stiffnecked motherf#@*er

Okeydoke made the dumbest PR move since James Watt in the Reagan administration.

So... Elder Oaks admits with this quote that although the Big 15 claim to be be "Apostles" of Christ, they feel no obligation to act as "Disciples" of Christ.

Matthew 5:23-24 ESV -
So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

The Brigham Young part, maybe? But there's a lot that can be attributed to him

This letter needs to go viral. It should be sent to the NYT, and anyone else who will print it.

It sums up the abuse of almost two hundred years of mormonism on one page.

I've emailed a link to the blog to every journalist I know that writes about cult issues.

Exceptional and about as succint as you can make it for all the glaring inconsistencies and downright mean-spiritedness that is rife throughout the fraud of Mormonism.

Wish this could somehow get "legs" in the national media.

Or so it seems to me...

I don’t want an apology from Oaks. If i felt I did need an apology it shows me that he still has power over me.

i read this stuff purely for entertainment. :)

I'm much too happy enjoying my new life post-cult to worry about an apology from DALLIN OAKS!
