When I was a missionary in Taiwan (late 90s), the name translated (from Mandarin Chinese) to "Jesus Christ Apocalypse Saints Church". What's more, the Book of Mormon was a homophone with "Script of the Demon Gate" with "Demon Gate Church" as the nickname (Mormon Church).

I worked in the mission office and saw a survey the area presidency had sent the mission president asking about both and contemplating a change. Early or mid 2000s they changed it to "Jesus Christ Late Period Saints Church" and stuck in an extra syllable in the translation for Book of Mormon to try and make it less creepy.
