I guess I've been posting for about eleven or twelve years. I've glad there are lurkers and want to encourage them to stay and to post if they have a need. But I usually comment on whatever I read just because I like it, I guess.
Probably since 2003... right after I met my husband's brainwashed TBM daughters and they told me they sang hymns to themselves to get bad thoughts out of their heads... and just after the younger one slapped my husband for having two beers in the fridge.
I read a bit on exmormon.org around 2000, but didn't know there was a board. I revisited exmormon.org this summer and discovered the new board, where I read every single post for a couple weeks before registering and a couple more weeks before having the courage to post. ;)
Since 1998. I found the board at a time when I was finishing my last year in theological (grad) school and coming to terms with the fact that I didn't believe in Christianity any longer and didn't want to become a Lutheran pastor (the expected outcome of my degree program). I forget how I learned about/found this board. I've learned and gained a great deal from this community, despite being a nevermo.
I've been lurking around the archived stuff for about 3 years, but I didn't visit RfM until September 2010. Actually, i don't know if this is the "right" place for me, as I only TRIED to join the LDS church 'way back in my teens (misguided youth). SO GLAD I DID NOT--hence the nickname.
Probably'08. Not sure....may have been earlier. My daughter converted after staving them off for yrs. Then she did it and told me in an email. She knew my feelings then and knows them now.
