We hit a new low at stake conference today, and I wasn't the only one there who thought it was the most boring conference ever.

After several soporific talks, the grand finale was a general authority who spoke on staying active in the church. Of course, he disparaged the scientific method and analytical thinking, and let us know that divine knowledge can only come through the spirit.

You will all be relieved to know that the ga had heard all of the issues pertaining to blacks and the priesthood, women and the priesthood, polygamy, the book of Mormon, etc., and that were good answers for all of them. He didn't go into too much detail, but since he's a ga he doesn't have to - you can just trust him it's all good.

Our stake must be special because we had another ga at our last stake conference, and he also tried to convince members to stay in the church. Seems like a consistent theme these days.
