Assuming he made a good case in the trial, he should appeal. It puts the FP in the line of fire.

Who knows? Maybe Tommy wants to get out of dodge. Dehlin would be a much more energetic and dynamic presence.

He stated in an interview, I believe with the Salt Lake Tribune, last month that if he was excommunicated he didn't plan on appealing, but that he reserved the right to change his mind.

In my opinion, it would be a lesson in futility unless he saw it has a chance for continued press coverage regarding those causes he promotes.

Honestly, I agree with the his feelings about the church, but he really should stay on the outside of the tent and piss in.

I hope he requests that the brethren consult Joseph Smith's peep stone (that they are known to have.) I say you are not out until God speaks through the magic rock.
