Don't worry; I'll keep this G-rated.

So I stop by the club fairly early this PM. Just a few girls there, and me. So there is ample chance to chat. I notice one girl has an LDS-themed tattoo (ironic, huh?) which I won't describe to protect her identity.

We start chatting, and I learn that she left the church one year ago. Born in the church, full TBM parents and siblings. She had debated whether to marry or go on a mission, then decided to marry. The guy (less-active LDS) was a jerk to her, so they divorced. Now she is on her own, making a new life for herself. I told her how proud I was of her courage to leave both her religion and her marriage. She seemed still to be a little unsure of herself, so we talked further of her reasoning.

In short, she came to her own conclusion the precepts of the church were inconsistent and wrong WITHOUT any internet searches. Amazing, right? I told her a little about MormonThink, CES letter, Exmormon.org, etc and she seems interested. Maybe she'll even read this post. If so, little lady, I am so hoping you find the happiness you so deserve. I know your future mate will LOVE your lap dances. I sure did.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I thought you were going to say you met your bishop or some such person.

No, but I did see a guy there later that looked A LOT like my former hometeacher. He was wearing a hat, looked unshaven, and sat pretty quiet like he was ashamed to be there. I thought about ratting him out, like I would have done when I was Mormon. I'm better than that now. Why would I want to expose a fellow man who appreciates the female form? To each his own. And yes there were enough women to go around.

Ok, I'll spice it up a little. This girl was pretty to begin with, but she became so much sexier to me when I learned she was exMormon. Boing! I started to imagine her in Young Women's class, temple trips, stake dances, as a missionary! I even confessed this to her, and she blushed and giggled. Would have loved to hear more of her story, but there was work to be done, poles to be tended to, and G-strings to stuff with bills. Maybe I'll see her again....(drifts away in fantasy).

You meet your guilty conscience?

Just kidding.

My wife was a stripper a few months before I met her.

Most strippers will lead you on about the subject of your choice, make you think you're so special for money, so don't get fleeced.

You have no power in these encounters, despite what you may think.

Just what I was going to say - they are top class sales girls, these girls, know what I'm saying?

My nephew's mother followed this line of work - they are all looking for as many 'regulars' as they can bewitch, and so are the bar owners.

Good strippers have a PhD level understanding of human psychology. They can figure out who your dream girl is within seconds, and morph into that personality. They also have an amazing knack of figuring out how much money you can spend, and will stay your dream girl until you meet that spending threshold.

The nerd in me is more interested in watching the girls work the guys than work the pole. It is a fascinating human situation.

So if they are great st sales and psychology and gettingnpeoples money, wouldn't the church want them as missionaries?

LMAO. That would make it pretty tough to turn the mishies away. Don’t give them any ideas; they’ll take over the world with a sales force like that.

It puts a whole new meaning into the phrase, “So here’s the position I take on missionaries…”

After I left the church but before I resigned I worked in a strip club. I also did some phone work. I was pretty good at it, not because of my dancing or my voice but because I was able to "become" what the guys wanted. I Was a "a" student earning my way through college, a single mom trying to feed my family, a rebellious twenty something proving everyone wrong, a girl who had too much to drink, etc. on the phone, callers were able to ask for girls from a specific magazine. We had all the back issues and had enough time to find the girl and then we could read their likes, dislikes, etc. the whole thing was really funny.

I know the kind of woman you are talking about. Masters of their trade, no doubt. I went head to head with a beauty who has worked the club for 7 years, and plays the men like putty in her hands (no pun intended). The brushed touch, the perfume, the breath in the ear, the Eskimo kiss are all strategically placed, and the reactions read expertly.

More often now I spend time at tables off the stage and watch the girls ply their trade. Fascinating and embarrassing for me to watch my gender helplessly succumb to their advances. Like moths to the flame, but oh baby it burns so good!

That's why I only bring cash and my ID. I'm so weak that I've gone to the ATM at strip clubs to pull out several hundred dollars, because the lap dances were awesome.

Yea, me too.

And I'm always the one advocating for legalized sex workers, the positive aspects of porn, thriving polyamorous relationships, healthy expression of human sexuality, etc.

Two (or more) emotionally healthy and mentally capable adults should be able to do what they want - sexually speaking - without society butting in with their prudish dysfunctions and creepy moralizing.

But this thread made me want to go wash up after reading it through.

(Must be me, I suppose.)

Or:

"I know your future mate will LOVE your lap dances. I sure did."

"I even confessed this to her, and she blushed and giggled. Would have loved to hear more of her story, but there was work to be done, poles to be tended to, and G-strings to stuff with bills. Maybe I'll see her again....(drifts away in fantasy)."

"I thought about ratting him out, like I would have done when I was Mormon. I'm better than that now."

"Fascinating and embarrassing for me to watch my gender helplessly succumb to their advances. Like moths to the flame, but oh baby it burns so good!"

I don't know if it's the braggadocio that bothers, or the lounge-lizard-larry aspect of it all.

The OP seems to want us to believe that he's got it all figured out, that he's in front of the wave, ahead of the power curve. I'd bet the exotic dancers have a nickname for him that may not be overly flattering.

Lol you are my hero. Seems like a desperate bid for 'cool' points on an internet forum to me, given that there was little point to the post other than an opportunity to inform us that he frequents strip clubs.

No, the point of the post was to relate how yet another young adult has REASONED her way out of the cult (and an abusive marriage) to make an honest effort in navigating her own morality.
Although you may criticize her choice of lifestyle and employment, she (not you or I) has to accept who she is and what she is doing.

The origin of the whole encounter centered on her tattoo which I'll hint contained a 3-letter acronym enclosed in a shield. The tattoo is recent, and placed one year AFTER leaving Mormonism. She told me she decided to have that symbol as a PERMANENT reminder to herself that SHE alone is responsible for selecting between right and wrong, not to rely on the dictated morals of others anymore.

To me that was so inspiring that I felt I should share it with everyone here. As I stated in the initial post, I am so proud of her courage and new-found conviction. I truly wish her the very best.

I am not trying to trumpet my extracurricular activities, and I rarely post here at all, let alone for 'cool points'. But I did compose a subject line to induce interest, and wrote the post to be enjoyable. You are free to take satisfaction or disgust from this thread. Just as with sex, everyone is different, so get off however you like. Again, happy Valentine's Day to all.

If you think miss CTR is happy grinding on strangers laps for a living, you are fooling yourself.

Had she divorced a doctor or lawyer, she wouldn't be on a pole. Unless she is saving for tuition, she is on a dead end street.

I thought maybe this was an attempt to stir the pot, then sit back and enjoy the fireworks...but instead getting "high five" responses.

haha I've known a few guys that thought that honestly believed that strippers were in love with them. I'm not saying this is the case with you, OP, but some of the responses reminded me of this. Funny how these guys couldn't get any female attention out in the world, but they walk into a strip club and they are all of a sudden some kind of casanova.

I hold no false pretense to romance with these ladies. I enjoy the female form, and admire the gift they have to display theirs to my (and most men's) entertainment. Theirs is a fungible product, bought and sold in the open. I do not consort with prostitutes or frequent any illegal establishments.

You would not believe how many male/female couples I see at these clubs. The female companions enjoy the show too! It's refreshing to see such open acceptance of sexuality, and I bet whatever libido boost the dancer starts with him will be enjoyed by the couple later at home.

There is, in fact, a distinction between love and sex. I love many women I'll never have sex with, and conversely I share this sex (if lap dancing qualifies in your view) with these working professionals with no pretense of love. Viva la difference!

Having lived in Vegas, I've known quite a few guys who married strippers and dated strippers. I've even known guys who found out that there girlfriends had been or were strippers.

True, the vast majority of guys are going to get played (like my friend who found out his stripper girlfriend was also a prostitute, but he took solace in the fact that she never hung with "locals"), but can two people meet in a strip club and get along outside? Happens all the time.
