SNL 40th episode..funny and nostalgic to say the least. Better than the Grammy's. Anyone else enjoying the show?

Great entertainment, but shocked how Adam Sandler and Dana Carvey have aged. Sure as shit I have too.. ;)

Just a shuffle f#ck of short skits, we replayed at our high school assemblies..still good laughs for those paying attention.. And laughing again for the irony.

I'm glad they did The Californians, as that's especially funny if you've lived in southern California.

Even funnier as a Nor Cal laughing at So Cal

I watched and loved it but did SLC KSL censor Kanye west's song?

My TV got a still image of him throughout most of his song. Did anyone else in Utah have that problem or was it just my tV?

I'm so old I can remember when SNL was funny.

Was it ever funny? Obviously our definitions of what is funny vary but to me SNL is amateurish, filled with people trying too hard to be funny, and lacks any really cutting satire.

I still think of the early years as "the golden era." When I was in college everything would come to a screeching halt at 11:30 P.M. when the T.V. set would go on and we would enjoy the show together.

I still watch it. Some skits are funny and some not.

40 years ago I was sitting home alone on a Saturday night, in my student apartment in Logan, UT, when SNL broadcast for the first time. I was delightfully stunned.

I've watched SNL since its inception and there has been humor throughout its history. There's been failed humor as well.
