Sipping hot tea and searching internet for best way to travel from Maryland to Long Island, NY for a wedding next December. (Due to fearful relatives, we must drive or find other best ground travel.)

Stressful, but still better than attending LDS church services.

Where in Long Island?
Option- MD Amtrack to NYC. Long Island RR from Jamaica Station to as far as Ronkonkoma.

Oh thank you.

Fox Hollow in Woodbury, NY. I read elsewhere that the Syosset station is nearby.

The family there live in Sayville, which is 10 minutes from the Macarthur airport.

I'm thinking about making a pound cake. I have some lemon curd that needs a vehicle to get to my mouth. Or should I make a tart?

That vehicle should be a spoon! Sadly, I just wasted 5 minutes of my morning watching people argue if Jesus existed or not. I think I'll stop drinking and then start going to meetings where people talk about not drinking.

I'm making a lemon cake today too. I don't have lemoncurd, but thought i'd give it a shot of homemade limoncello. Something about spring, I always have to make lemon cake.

The best one I ever made was a bundt lemon pound cake filled with lemon mousse. It was a bit of work though.

Run

Salt Bath

Pizza

James Wood and/or Jonathan Franzen

Decide, finally, to run or not run in Seattle in June

Oscars

(Birdman is my choice, RJ. But my heart is for Wes Anderson. Just as long as this year's propaganda film doesn't win...)

So, there are only a handful of films I've actually seen. I may skip tonight's awards in order to finish writing a chapter.

Was recently re-reading a few of Orwell's Essays. Of course I thought of you!

Glad you're still writing, and judging by your silence here I'm guessing it's going very well.

Thanks for the encouragement, Beth.

I lived on the corner of E. John and Broadway for three years in the very early '90s. But I'm seeing that the area is changing quite dramatically. Eliot Bay Books up there? My goodness.

We had a cute place lined up a block from Greenlake but alas, it is not to be. We don't think we'll be ready to run again by June. So it'll likely be Autumn in Vancouver.

Enjoy the city! It's one of America's best.

Sipping my 4th cup of WOW-breaking coffee.

I wrote a rebuttal to bona dea, then decided she isn't worth it.

The Jeezus topic just can't seem to be settled.

What I am NOT doing is driving through slushy roads or walking on icy sidewalks for the privilege of drooling on my tie.

I am pairing leftover shrimp tacos with a Monster for brunch.

And the Oscars.............red carpet.

So until then I'm here at RfM. And I'm mad that Eric & Susan have a weirdo causing them problems.

This site is where I've met the most interesting/smartest people. And
some of you have become my friends in my "real" life.

Happy SUNday...

Catching up on stuff that needs to be done and trying to prevent two thieving cats from stealing the bacon I just cooked.
Take some photos of new pottery pieces I glazed and maybe some jewelry as well.

Reading New Yort Times before I got to a birthday party, where there will be gasp! alcohol, which I will not partake in since I am driving. Sometimes alcohol makes me lol.

Had a nice cup of coffee and a blueberry bagel with strawberry creamcheese. Now I am working on some of my family history research on ancestry.com and trying to go through an insane amount of resources that are coming in. I will probably spend some time playing my Sims game later on.

Drinking coffee made in my french press, which is a Sunday tradition for me. Later before the Oscars, I have to get more coffee as I ground the last bit today.

DH and I went bike riding this morning, then he fixed us a delicious breakfast of bacon, eggs and home made potoatos.

Right now I'm trying to make Elton John's Oscar viewing appetizers, consisting of melted raisin bread and cheese triangles with pear slices in the middle.
YUM.

I did exactly what I wanted to do all day! I had only one chore, vacuuming up some water from a burst pipe. Friday night was freakishly cold and a pipe froze. The rest of the time I watched movies, had a couple of vodka highballs and RSVP'd an atheist meetup in Lexington tomorrow night.

Glazing some bisque ware and getting it ready for the kiln. Snowboarding on some much needed new snow.
Kids came over for coffee and chocolate chip cookies.
Next up, Blacklist or The Walking Dead.

I went on a lovely bike ride with a friend. Sun was out, but it was colder than balls.
We went and visited a friend who just got out of the hospital for a severe seratonin malfunction. had a great time, cheered him up and we all went on a nice walk :)
Made some delicious food, lurked on rfm, did some studying for classes, all that good stuff.
Forgot it was even sunday until i saw a young man who is the son if a tbm i know, walking home from church. Left him in the dust as i pedaled away on my bike ride :) promptly forgot all about religion
