Even more ugh. I just never got into Jimmy Buffett.
Plus, I was down on the strip in Las Vegas one night (should have known better) and going south across Tropicana and some A##hole coming out of the JB concert plowed into the back of my car. I know that's a valid reason to not like Jimmy, but just never learned to appreciate him.
I usually got the crummy, out-of-the-way positions when detailed to concerts, but for JB I got a great assignment on the edge of the crowd when he performed at Fenway Park. He put on a very good show, and the parrotheads were among the best behaved I ever worked.
Opening act was Willie Nelson. Confession time: I enjoyed Willie more.
I never understood that song “ Margaritaville” when it came out, still don’t. I always liked the pop tart part when I was a kid though. They have s station on Sirius that plays that style of music.
