Still on meds for my sinus infection (which, thankfully, is getting better) so not imbibing tonight, but taking my wife out to dinner tomorrow so might have a beer then.
Getting there, thanks! Inner ears still giving me balance issues but every day is better. I never mix booze with meds that could have a nasty interaction so really looking forward to a beer tomorrow.
I just went for sushi, and, as is my tradition, I had WAY too much hot saki. Saki, such a happy drunk. Many different alcohols have a different 'style' of buzz. Saki, I find, is the giddiest of the drunks, IMHO. Maybe I'll curtail my posting tonight ... the wife had to drive home. Mmmmm, toro. Blaaaaa
Ron, my DW is pre-diabetic and she is not a drinker. So, in keeping with the theme of low-carb and pre-diab I'm staying away from the suds (since January) and keeping things tight.
The steaks were great, medium rare with A1 Sauce and a horseradish-butter sauce drizzled over them. The green beans we dipped in balsamic vinegar with some bleu cheese crumbles on top. Who needs Tyler Florence?

I'm having my customary glass of chardonnay since it pairs nicely with my Friday evening dinner. But I've been exploring some inexpensive reds lately -- Cabernet and Merlot blends. So far I've enjoyed both Rosemount and Black Opal.
