Hi folks need some help.

I'm in UK, and I want to request a machine readable copy of the information the church holds on me under the new GDPR data laws.

I'm doing this as a test case to see how they respond, and for personal curiosity.

Main reason I haven't designed in all honesty is free premium access to a lot of the family history sites. Do it for fun now and not for temple.

Thanks, tiger

Phone 00800-2950-2950 from UK landline and ask to speak to membership records department.

I phoned them several times when called as clerk to discuss membership records in my Branch and tidy up errors.

I'm kidding, of course.
Please do report back on your quest -- we'd love to hear if you're successful!

Go get 'em, tiger.

I would think all the Church Office Building would keep would be what's available from your local clerk in Britain. Which is your name, parents, ordinations, age.

There is a small department that keeps files called strengthening the members Committee, but all they would have are files on outspoken ex-moromons I would guess?

Why would the church strengthening church members committee keep a record on someone who'd resigned?

I don't like the idea of having to compete for their attention with the likes of Hie and Lot's Wife, and the other literate and loquacious resigned members!!

They don't. SCMC keeps files on members who have too high a public profile and are too outspoken. They often become exMormons.

Files have been known to assist in breakouts.

Ever see a pillar of salt blush?

Upon resignation, the church transfers the apostate's records from the SCMC files to the Danite files. That's what Clausewitz meant when he said war is the continuation of politics by other means.

Keep your head down, Dawg.
