"Thunderbirds Are GO!" (2015) Trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6y2hFqgtjLk

They were still showing re-runs of the original "Thunderbirds" when I was growing up so I got to see it. This was THE show to watch if you were the boffin/boffinette or nerd/nerdette kid in your neighbourhood. I can remember wanting be just like Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward when I grew up -- ultra posh, ultra cool, smart, beautiful...and ultra deadly.

Can't wait to see this -- hope it's good.

Thunderbirds, Stingray, Supercar, The Secret Service, Captain Scarlett, Mr Anderson produced some fine TV shows.

He mixed in puppetry with live action, he was many years ahead of his time.

Lady Penelope was based on his wife, Sylvia, who I had a major crush on!

Andercon in June could be interesting.

I can't copy the link for some reason but easy enough to find. :)

Lady Penelope was a woman of international mystery.

I don't like the new look. They should have continued using Supermarionation.

The original and best but the new production company has been commissioned to make the series for children's TV so I assume they are trying to appeal to young 'uns of today.

One plus point is that I could hear John Hurt's voice in the trailer.

This is what I needed earlier.

Yes, and don't forget Stingray, the nautical but nice version of Thunderbirds.

Peanut butter and jelly paradise.

Wasn't Bill Paxton and Phillip Winchester of "Strike Back" already in this about 10 years ago??

There were several Canadian and American actors in the original productions.

A trip down memory lane. My last job in Britain was as sub on the children's weekly that featured the Anderson characters. Visited the studio in Slough where Thunderbirds was made.

I subscribed to that magazine! It was very well put together and well-written.
