There are two papers in Salt Lake City. One does investigative journalism - great news stories on the misdeeds of our elected officials, the "Church," has interesting editorials, and great sports coverage.
The other publishes this tripe as "news" and uses bloggers as reporters.
I had a thought when viewing the painting on this page that any heavenly being popping into Smith's bedroom at night would not likely find him alone in his bed.
Propaganda for the easily shocked and appalled-about anything that doesn't fit their world view. It is about selling the church, Deseret books, all church PR. Normal people must get embarrassed. People from out of state must get confused.
See the REAL news would be if today's prophet said that he had just 1/100th of the celestial visitations or revelations that old Joe did. Wouldn't that prove the continuous revelation more than stories from over 150 yrs ago???
