I guess it was somewhat surprising that the children were not also killed. Often times everyone in the house will be murdered.

37 yrs old with 7 kids. The kids were aged 3-15; I hope they get to stay together or at least are grouped by young and older, and are fostered or taken in by family, as close to each other as possible.

Now THIS would be a good (unlike most others) candidate for a Go fund me or similar project. Raise enough money for a grandparent or Aunt/Uncle family to be able to keep the kids together & raised in a comfortable environment.
Still don't see the Mormon connection.

Long history of violence. UT and CA. No indication of religion so far in the reports. Name is typical in Mormonism.

It's a blended family -- 2 of his kids from previous marriage, 2 of hers from previous marriage, and 3 together.

The woman must have stayed to protect her children, however, she had more children with this violent abuser. Now, hopefully they will be in a loving home with no more violence.

So let me get this straight. The thread title says he's Mormon, but none of the reports say that?

If so, we lose credibility being that desperate to bash Mormonism, and the thread should be deleted.

Even if he was Mormon, doesn't mean Mormonism caused it. Believe it or not, there are bad people everywhere.

I know the murdered woman

She was one my son's best friends and was still a good friend.

They were very TBM. Regardless of if they were/are LDS, it's heart-breaking. Most of the children were there, as she ran, screaming, towards the door, while he repeatedly stabbed her in the back.

The guy was a convicted felon several times before this happening.

That woman should've left long ago, but maybe stayed for the children, and out of ignorance or fear.
